Head east from the car park to join the Exe Estuary Trail, turn right heading for Turf Hotel and Powderham. Here you join a shared road, following the railway line to Starcross, passing the Deer Park of Powderham Castle.
Although this is classified as a Level 3 due to distance, the only hill on the route is the bridge over the railway line at Powderham.
For those who want to do a shorter route, turning round at Turf Hotel would give you a distance just over two miles. Or a distance of about five miles, turning round at Powderham Church. There is also the option of parking at Powderham or Starcross, so there are several options to choose from.
