Exeter Quay to Salmon Pool Weir

This is an easy Category one ramble from Exeter Quay.

Location : Exeter

Starting Point Exeter Quay. but can be accessed from several points on it’s route

OS grid reference : SX920921

Distance : 2.5 miles

Route Surface : Asphalt or paving blocks

Category : Level 1

This is a nice easy circular route, both sides of the River Exe. I have used Exeter Quay as the start and finish point, but there are several other joining points. There are a few disabled spaces at Exeter Quay, also  limited parking at the end of Salmon Pool Lane. (OS Ref SX931909)

Very narrow section of path leading to Salmon Pool Lane

Small wheeled Mobility scooters may find a very short section alongside Belle Isle park, a bit bumpy as tree roots have cracked the Asphalt. Otherwise the surfaces are good . The final 200 yards of path leading to Salmon Pool Lane is very narrow. ( See photo above)

This is the entrance to the small parking area at the end of Salmon Pool Lane

From Salmon Pool Weir cross the river on the Ducks Marsh Bridge, then follow the cycle path back to the Quay.
