Carry on down river past the Port Royal pub and Trews Weir, then take the first turning right. Cross the river on the suspension bridge, then take the path down into the Flood Prevention Channel. There is a bridge across the Flood Prevention Channel, but this is narrow, so can be difficult to pass other users.

Keep right after crossing the FPC, then cross the footbridge by the lockgate between the river and the canal. Then cross the river on the footbridge that takes you into Commercial Road, turn right for the last few yards back to the starting point.
