Although it is a short ramble mainly on Asphalt, there is a short section of Permissive path. The permissive path is narrow and quite rough, with a heavy five bar field gate at one end. with a lighter one at the other end.

There is a very good easy access Disabled Toilet at the Pump & Pedal

This is a lovely route, which from a wheelchair perspective is spoilt by the short section of permissive path. The type of gates at either end of the permissive path, do not make it any easier. When I mapped the route I was on my own, and trying to keep the gate open and get the scooter through, was difficult.

One of several named ponds alongside the cycle path

I only went as far as Lake Viaduct, but there is a path which takes you to the Bearslake Inn. This is quite a steep path down to the base of the Viaduct, then a reasonable gravel path to the main road. There and back would add slightly less than a mile, to the journey.

View looking west from Lake Viaduct

When the weather is right, looking west you get views of the Tamar Valley and Bodmin Moor. Looking east gives you a view of the Rattlebrook Tramway.
