Today we took a picnic lunch down to Powderham and Starcross. We had a very strong head wind on the way down, but the warmth of the sun won the day.

We stopped for lunch in a field next to Powderham Church, it was a lovely sunny spot in the lee of the hedge. With the protection from the wind by the hedge, we really appreciated the warmth of the sun.

With the very strong headwind on the way down, we were glad of our winter clothing. After our lunch we made our way to Starcross, just to use the WC at Starcross station. The return journey was much more enjoyable, as with a tail wind if felt several degrees warmer.
