Filming for Dartmoor National Park

On Monday 4th October a small group of WAGs members, met at Princetown for a filming session on the Nunns Cross path. The Dartmoor National Park are celebrating 70 years later this month. Therefore they are making a video to showcase all the different users of Dartmoor, from farmers and other workers on the moor. It will also include all the different recreational users, including us on our Mobility Scooters.

It was a sunny start to the day, for the journey up to Princetown, but it did not last. We were on the final bit of filming, when it started raining. The finished video will be on the DNPA Youtube channel, and their website later this year.

Despite the grey overcast skies, we were still able to see Plymouth Sound before the rain started.

We did a short section off the path, on the open moor as they wanted shots of the open moor behind us.

As this was my first outing in over two weeks, since injuring my lower back in a fall. Gill and I headed back to Princetown, while the others went on to Nunns Cross. At least we had the rain on our backs, so the journey back to Princetown was not so bad.

We were accompanied by one of the Moorland Guides when we went back, so the three of us went into the Police House Cafe. We had a very nice lunch before heading home early.
